Leland Chapman Biography


Leland Chapman was born on December 14th, 1976 in Groom, Texas. He was born as Leland Blaine Chapman to Duane "Dog" Chapman and La Fonda Sue Honeycutt.

Leland ChapmanAs a young man, Leland didn't see his father until he was 8 years old. His youth was wild an crazy and got caught up in the gang life in Denver, Colorado. His father Duane "Dog" Chapman would often check in on how Leland was doing, and with that came a hard time to fit and didn't have many friends. They were worried that Dog would spy on them.

After a mugging incident involving a firearm, Leland was given a choice. Four years in a youth detention center or he go live with his father. He chose his father. Because of this change, Leland turned his life around. He considers his father, his sons and the "spirit of Hawaii" as three major influences that made him go straight.

When Leland was just 21 years old, he started a Da Kine Bail Bonds branch in Kona, Hawaii. He divides his time between his bail bonds business and competing in boxing, kickboxing, mixed martial arts and extreme boxing. He's been bothered by injuries and has taken time out to do work supporting the local competitions and working in the Honolulu office of Da Kine Bail Bonds.
